Priya (Pree) Rehal is an artist educator currently based in Tkaronto, originally from Tiohtià:ke. They’re the children of immigrant settlers from Punjab. Pree’s work centres their identity as a queer, non-binary, trans, disabled, fat, and racialized individual. They have an interdisciplinary arts practice under the name: Sticky Mangos and co-founded the Non-Binary Colour Collective.

You can read Pree’s research notes from the Making with Place project online at https://www.prehal.com/blog, and follow their arts practice on Instagram @StickyMangos.

For Making With Place, Pree used social media as a process and production space, to the fullest. At one point they created social media posts with watercolours to speak out against police violence that generated over 30,000 reactions. They further used Instagram to conduct advocacy and crowd fundraising projects for trans queer and disabled folks, creating educational and awareness space for QTBIPOC community members, ensuring they not be forgotten during this time.

Crip Collab is a curated zine originally produced for Bricks and Glitter in 2020, followed by new editions, gaining attention by disabled artists as a space in which to showcase their art and expressions.
